Expanding supply is not the ONLY way to make housing more affordable. A total shift in mindset is needed so that the property market is not about investing but home ownership, thereby crimping non-dweller demand. For example, stop institutional investors buying homes. Stop foreign investors buying homes. In fact, I would argue we need to get to a place where owning two homes is morally indefensible when others are homeless.
