Happy Thanksgiving! Addams Family Values is my must-see Thanksgiving movie. Just think, Charles Addams' cartoon first appeared in 1938, where the weirdo family is loving, accepting, and sane, but the outside world is totally nuts. So let us give thanks for Charles Addams, who, first, had a well-paying career as an artist, and, second, showed us the importance of tolerance and acceptance of those outside the "norm."

Speaking of woke and DEI, I've heard that Trump wants Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer banned from the White House Christmas music list because Rudolph was obviously promoted to the head of the reindeer team because of his birth defect.
Please remember that sanitized versions of history disrespect and dishonor those who have been harmed by it. Thanksgiving is also a day of deep reflection and mourning for what was done to the Native Americans, e.g., the intentional introduction of smallpox and the Pequot Massacre of 1637 (not the first nor the last massacre). We cannot change what was done in the past, but we can resolve to learn from it to be better in our current and future behavior.
